Dear Friends,

These summer months (in the northern hemisphere) are the time we prepare new courses, new blog essays and revamp our website. Many thanks to Marcus and his team for their many hours of effort to make the Jungian Center site more sturdy, reliable and user friendly. Customers will soon have another way to pay for books and courses (Stripe) and all of us will rest easier with the added security activities.
Most of these doings are behind the scenes. More visible going forward are the exciting new courses we are planning--"we" reflecting team efforts to create, e.g. a beautiful course on the Jung-influenced paintings of Peter Birkhauser, and other courses on tap by students' requests, e.g. Reading Jung 1, the beginning course of a six-year program of reading all of Jung's major works. Reading Jung 4 will continue in the coming year as well. The full list of these and the other courses coming up in Fall term will be posted with dates and descriptions in our August newsletter.
Our bank designated us the "Business of the Month," with an exhibit of our books, essays and brochures that ran through the month of June. We appreciate how our bank has given us such good support.
Our blog essay this month, "People as Tools: Jung's Warning" can be accessed at this URL: https://jungiancenter.org/people-as-tools-jungs-warning/

We hope you have a safe 4th of July and an enjoyable month!

JUNG ON AMERICA - A Collection of Essays in Print

Paperback

What would Jung think of our “Too-Big-to-Fail” institutions?

What would Jung make of our American exceptionalism?

How would Jung describe America’s shadow?

What about the idea of reparations?

These and other similar questions drawn from the daily headlines have been posed by students at the Jungian Center for the Spiritual Sciences, and they form the substance of this book. Although Carl Jung died in 1961, his intuition and wisdom transcend time and makes his writings as pertinent now as it was in the twentieth century. So we can draw upon his ideas as we grapple with the challenges we face now.
