July 2023 newsletter

July 2023

Dear Friends,

This is the time of the year when we plan the academic year ahead, and for our Fall lineup we have some exciting learning opportunities, including the 23/24 year version of “The Wisdom of the Crone,” a reading/discussion course which will run for 9 months on the first Thursday of every month, September 1st, through May, with memoirs by Nina Totenberg, Michelle Obama, Cicely Tyson, Mary Rodgers and others; a 4-week course on Mary Magdalene, with readings that may hold surprises for some people; a course on working with dreams, offering 8 CEUs for therapists; and a 4 week course in Feminist Fairytales, and a 9-month course meeting once a month on Reading Jung (his only memoir, some of his interviews, and a selection of readings from his Collected Works)–in addition to the array of courses by other faculty (whose course descriptions should get to me by July 15th, so the tech guys can post them on our Jungian Center web site.

In the planning stages are courses on the archetypes in the Tarot, mandala-making and the labyrinth. Details on these will appear in future issues of this newsletter.

I hope you have a wonderful month, with good air quality, adequate rainfall, and minimal driving/flying and other forms of carbon emissions.

Stay safe!

Sue
