Dear Friends,

November in Vermont is when "the frost is on the pumpkins" and the hillsides are the gray of "twig season." We locals breathe a sigh of relief to have our roads back after the crush of tourists. We quaff our cider as we bed down house and hearth and await the first snow.

When the world feels uncertain and our inner lives overwhelmed, the body offers a path home—a way to restore calm, clarity, and connection.

In this experiential two-hour class, you’ll explore the nervous system as a profound gateway to resilience, growth, and inner peace. You’ll learn how the body’s responses to stress aren’t just reactions—they’re messages and invitations for transformation, waiting to be heard.
We’ll view the body as a living map—a mirror of unconscious material, ancestral patterns, and untapped potential. Together, we’ll also consider how collective instability can awaken shared trauma responses, and how we can ground, heal, and become embodied agents of restoration within ourselves and our communities.

You’ll learn:

• The foundations of the Central and Autonomic Nervous Systems
• The basics of defense physiology and the role of fear in survival
• How trauma and stress are stored in the body—and accessible pathways for release
• How to engage the body as an ally to cultivate calm, presence, and inner safety
• Ways to recognize the body’s symbolic messages as part of your healing journey
This session includes guided somatic practices, reflective exercises, and practical tools to help you rewire your system toward greater peace, clarity, and grounded presence.
An optional 30-minute Q&A (5:00–5:30 PM EST) follows the class for additional reflection and discussion.
One-on-one support sessions are also available.
Join me on this journey into Yoga Philosophy and Practice in this new online course!
We will be exploring some of the philosophical framework of Yoga about the perturbances of the mind, Patanjali’s 8 Limbs of Yoga, and how working with those concepts can help us find a better balance between body and mind, promote inner peace and enhance mental clarity.
Furthermore we will compare a few of these Eastern ideas of alleviating suffering
with Jung’s understanding of consciousness.
In each class we will also practice Yoga sequences on a beginner’s level
including various types of Pranayama with the aim
of enabling you to build your own
Yoga practice at home..
