Special Message for a Unique Time
|
Recent events in the United States have prompted emails from some in our Jungian community that led me to gather my thoughts about how Jung responded to people who contacted him in 1940. Jung knew what it was like to live in perilous times (check out the essay "Jung on Surviving Politically Perilous Times," archived on our web site), and he had words of comfort, insight and understanding to offer his correspondents, friends and students. Normally I post one essay a month, around the end of the month/beginning of the next month, but multiple people urged me to send the essay attached here now, as they (reading the draft) felt it should be sent sooner, rather than 3+ weeks from now.
