Oh so slowly Vermont is emerging from a long and snowy winter! We may still have snow into May, but at the moment it is mild--in the 40's and sunny. Our students living in lower latitudes report daffodils blooming, trees budding out and bird serenades. Our robins have returned, but worms are still buried under snow.

Fortunately the Jungian Center operates regardless of weather (our power backed up by solar panels and a bank of batteries), and we are looking forward to our new course starting on April 2nd : Living Alchemy

I hope you have a wonderful Spring! Sue

Each of us is living alchemy every day, but few people realize this. In this course, we explore how we use this ancient "sacred art" of transformation, and how it can enrich our lives and make it easier for us to "go with the flow" of the archetypes that manifest in daily living. Multiple exercises demonstrate the relevance and usefulness of alchemy, in class and as homework. The textbook is Living Alchemy, available on our Jungian Center web site.

What would Jung think of our “Too-Big-to-Fail” institutions?
What would Jung make of our American exceptionalism?
How would Jung describe America’s shadow?
What about the idea of reparations?
These and other similar questions drawn from the daily headlines have been posed by students at the Jungian Center for the Spiritual Sciences, and they form the substance of this book. Although Carl Jung died in 1961, his intuition and wisdom transcend time and makes his writings as pertinent now as it was in the twentieth century. So we can draw upon his ideas as we grapple with the challenges we face now.
