Moving from the empyrean of Jung’s thought to mundane reality, the local news here is all about the solar eclipse on April 8th, with Vermont being in the path of totality and, since Lake Champlain has never frozen over this winter, the likelihood of clouds obscuring this exciting event is 85%. Sigh. The authorities are urging us locals to stay put, as the 100,000-plus visitors are expected to create massive traffic jams.
