The days get longer, the winds get stronger, and the sun makes a showing more frequently as this Winter--one of the grayest, cloudiest winters I've experienced in Vermont--all too slowly gives way to Spring.
Regardless of how March comes in--lion or lamb--the following courses will be running this month. I hope you will join us.

Carl Jung associated mass hysteria with the collective unconscious. It is through self-reflection and knowledge that we have a chance to grow at times of crisis. Topic Tuesdays is a weekly presentation where I will share education, training, knowledge, wisdom, and resources that I have acquired in my own process of inner alchemy and as a practitioner, educator, and facilitator. My intention is to take hard-to-digest and unobtainable information and to share it in layman’s terms, focusing more on the energetics rather than coming from a pathological perspective. Some of the topics include: subconscious reprogramming, high conflict relationships, chronological integration, life purpose work, and ancestral & collective healing.

The focus of this five-week course is on what Jung considered the most important part of his psychology: analysis. We consider what "analysis" means, what it involves, how it differs from psychotherapy, and the practical aspects of the process, e.g. how to choose an analyst, how to engage the work, and how to determine if analysis is for you. The book Components of Jungian Analysis, available on the Jungian Center store in hard copy and pdf, is suggested reading.

In this transitional month, as the equinox evens out day and night, and Winter slowly gives way to Spring, two self-directed distance-learning courses relate to the changing seasons: "Doing Change" and "Esoteric Ethics."
In some years, an early Easter occurs in March, our self-directed distance-learning course "Jung and the New Dispensation" provides food for thought about what religio really means.

Doing Change
This course takes a Jungian approach to the subject of change, recognizing that change begins with the individual. How do we change? How can we change? What does change entail, and how does change relate to the transitional times we are navigating now, as we move into the Age of Aquarius? Fourteen facets of change are considered, using as our text How to Survive and Thrive in the Coming Earth Changes.

Moral conduct, duty, judgment, moral principles, the formation of standards of right and wrong and applications in practical reality form the core content of the usual course in ethics. In this course, we examine these topics from the viewpoint of esoteric wisdom and higher consciousness, considering such themes as the expansion of the ethical community, the more rigorous obligations of higher consciousness and psychic etiquette, in light of Jung’s psychology.

Carl Jung recognized that a new form of spiritual expression was arising in anticipation of the Age of Aquarius—a form rooted in the psychologically conscious individual. Jung felt that such new spiritual developments grew out of older religions (the old “dispensations”), and this course draws on the wisdom contained in the New Testament and the life of Jesus to describe the form of this “new dispensation.”
