Introduction to Dream Work (May 9, 16, 23, 30, 2006)
Dream work is one of the most basic skills essential for any spiritual seeker, and this course gives an orientation to the process, offering tips on how to foster dream recall, how to record dreams, and how to tackle figuring dreams out. We draw on a wide array of “schools” of dream interpretation in addressing how to interpret and work with dream material, from the classical Freudian and Jungian models to more contemporary approaches. The course introduces participants to the characters in their “inner city,” as it defines and works with archetypes and archetypal fields. It also presents the practice of dream incubation and provides opportunities for students to experience incubating dreams through the “Dream Helper’s Ceremony.” Strongly recommended for anyone who is serious about developing his or her spiritual life.
